Welcome to Bridge House Bed and Breakfast, Pitlochry.
Fiona and Malcolm Hewitt opened the doors to Bridge House in 1998. They have transformed one of Pitlochry's traditional Victorian town houses into a warm welcoming home which incorporates 21st century comfort with 19th century charm. Situated on the main street in Pitlochry, Bridge House is easy to find by road and is 5 minutes from the bus and train stations. For details see the map page. We have wi-fi access should you need it & digital tv's with dvd/cd player.
Conveniently situated in the centre of Pitlochry, with parking at the rear, Bridge House is the ideal choice for a quiet break or a more lively holiday. Pitlochry Festival Theatre is only a ten minute walk from us and the plays this year begin on 18th May with Little Shop of Horrors, the 1950's Creature Feature Musical which will be another exciting start to the season. The next play is The 39 Steps adapted from the novel by John Buchan. Walk past the Theatre and you will arrive at the Dam where you can view the Fish Ladder, built to help the salmon get up over the dam as they return to their spawning grounds between April and October. For an action packed holiday, there are plenty opportunities to do white water rafting, abseiling, canoeing, canyoning etc and now at Killiecrankie the very first permanent bungee jump in Britain is up and running if you have the nerve.
Pitlochry is in the heart of Perthshire "The Big Tree County" therefore ideal to use as a base to explore the rest of Scotland or as a place to stop over on your journey North or South. Why not stay a few days though and enjoy Pitlochry itself and the beautiful walks and interesting places to visit in and around. There is something for everyone in fact and you will find all the information you need in the folders in your room at Bridge House or just ask your hosts.
